Concussions in ultimate frisbee
Programme Overview

Concussion Health in Ultimate Frisbee
Ultimate Frisbee is fast, reactive and physically demanding. Although it is officially a non-contact sport, players still run the risk of player to player contact and player to ground contact.
Â
This course helps Ultimate players, coaches and captains understand how concussion happens in the sport, how to recognise possible signs and symptoms, and why it is important to remove a player from play when concussion is suspected.

With concussion rates in Ultimate reported at around 26% lifetime prevalence, education is an important part of keeping athletes safe.
Â
This course provides practical, sport-specific guidance on recognising concussion, responding safely, and supporting a gradual return to training and competition.
