The Foundations of DISCFIT
Born out of South Africa, DISCFIT is a physio-led performance platform built for the heart of the Ultimate community. Ultimate may still be a small sport in SA, but it’s played with the same passion, grit, and intensity that define South African athletes across every field. We compete hard, travel far, and leave everything on the line for our teams—often driven purely by love for the game. That spirit deserves better preparation. Too often there’s a gap between how hard we play on the weekend and how we prepare during the week, and that gap leads to repeat injuries, rushed returns, and seasons cut short.

DISCFIT was created to close that gap. Through science-backed, sport-specific training designed specifically for Ultimate, we combine practical strength and conditioning, simple screening tools, and clear return-to-sport guidance. Our goal is to help athletes train smarter, build resilient bodies, and perform with confidence, so Ultimate players can stay stronger, play longer, and represent the game they love with the power and pride it deserves.

Meet Ally Smith
Hi! I’m the face behind DISCFIT. I’m a sports and orthopaedic physiotherapist and an Ultimate Frisbee player who genuinely loves this sport and the people who play it. I created DISCFIT because I’m passionate about helping athletes train smarter, stay healthier, and enjoy more time on the field doing what they love. I know how important it is to build a body that can handle the demands of sport. Strength training isn’t just about performance, it’s about protecting your body, improving resilience, and giving yourself the best chance to stay strong, capable, and confident on the field. I have felt the effects of an injury firsthand and I know how empowering it feels to rebuild properly and return with confidence. Ultimate in South Africa is still growing, but it’s played with huge heart and intensity, and I’m driven to help grow the sport by supporting the athletes who make it what it is.
